Drop in to the KIC to explore robotics, coding, construction, animation and movie making, writing, illustrating and making books, at your own pace. See branch calendar for details. No registration.
No registration, but participants sign into the room.
Children may leave the room at will. Library staff cannot act in place of parents or caregivers. All customers must follow the CCPL Code of Conduct.
If the KIC room is full, ask for a waitlist pass. Stay in the Children’s Room. Staff will call you in when there is space.
Library staff may ask the kids who have been in the KIC the longest to exit, if there is a waitlist and some participants have been in the KIC more than 60 minutes.
Family welcome. Siblings under Grade 1 must stay with a supervising caregiver at all times.
Library staff may ask caregivers to park strollers outside the room if the KIC room is crowded.

Week 2 – Cardboard Construction – Build with ChompSaw and MakeDo tools
Week 3 – Snap Circuits – Play with electricity
Week 4 – MakerBot Mazes - Build Keva plank mazes for vibrating HexBugs
Week 5 – Domino Runs - Build and topple together
Week 6 – Cardboard Construction – Build with ChompSaw and MakeDo tools
Week 7 – Snap Circuits Bric – Combine circuit sets and LEGOTM
Week 8 – Squishy Circuits – Build with Play-Doh and add LED lights

Summer Lunch is served 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday. All kids eat for free!

This summer we are expanding our FREE summer programs for students. Registration is no longer required. Just drop in and enjoy reading, science, technology, engineering, arts and math activities. It's summer fun for everyone!
This program will use a wide variety of products. By participating in Cuyahoga County Public Library's (CCPL) Summer Fun for Everyone programs, you are agreeing to the terms of CCPL's Release and Hold Harmless Agreement.
