Michelle Rankins, founder/president of M. Rankins Creative Enterprises, LLC, is a published poet, creative professional, and an educator for over 20 years. She was a featured poet for Word on The Street -Summer Block Party for Literary Cleveland, The BLAX Museum, the Cleveland Public Theatre, READING RACE :Poetic Expressions of Identity at MOCA Cleveland, and the International Conference on 20th Century American Poetry in Wuhan, China.
From February 18, 2026 through February 18, 2027, Ohio will celebrate the life, literature, and legacy of Toni Morrison, Lorain, Ohio native and the first African American woman to win the Nobel Prize in Literature.
