A crash course in point of view
In this fiction-focused class, participants will get a crash course in point of view and a recap of what popular POVs are found in each genre, then we will take a close look at the consequences of sloppy POV, and finally we will analyze which POV choice will pack the most powerful punch for each individual's specific work in progress.
Krista Hammonds (she/her) writes poetry and reimagined fairytales. Under her pseudonym Iris Matthews she also writes sweet contemporary short stories set around the Great Lakes and sweeping historical romance novels set in 1785 London. Her second novel Serenity and the Marquess was a finalist in the Hearts Through History Romance Writer’s Romance Through the Ages Contest taking third place in the Georgian/Victorian category. She hails from Stow, OH where she lives with her partner, two children, and mini Aussiedoodle rescue pup. She has a BA in history and an MFA in writing popular fiction. When she isn’t writing, you can find her in the garden, playing board games, traveling, or giving presentations on her favorite nerdy craft writing topics such as objective correlatives.
