New to babysitting or just need some tips? Learn best practices and how to keep your charges safe and happy in this 4-week deep dive series! Attend our Babysitting Basics courses to learn about basic childcare, minor first aid, handling emergencies, and how to entertain and teach early literacy to children.
For tweens and teens ages 10 to 18 years.
No certification is offered at any of the sessions.
Week 1, June 18 (1 hour): You and the Child's Safety presented by the Mayfield Village Police Department.
Week 2, June 25 (1 hour):Fire Safety presented by the Mayfield Village Fire Department.
Week 3, July 2 (2 hours): Child Care presented by a University Hospitals' Rainbow Injury Prevention Center Nurse.
Week 4, July 9 (2 hours): Developmental Activities by Cuyahoga County Public Library's Youth Literacy and Outreach Manager and Family Engagement Specialist.
