Princess Diana was an international icon whose activism, style, and charm made her a popular figure.  Learn about how she became the People’s Princess.  Presented by Susan Cannavino of Presentations With Pizzazz.

Part 1 on Saturday, August 15 at 2:00 p.m. focuses on her early life, her relationship with her parents, her upbringing, and her introduction to Prince Charles.  Registration for part 1 begins on Tuesday, July 15 at 9:00 a.m.

Part 2 on Saturday, September 12 at 2:00 p.m. covers how her life changed once she met Prince Charles, including their courtship, red flags in their relationship, and their wedding.  Registration for part 2 begins on Wednesday, August 12 at 9:00 a.m.

You must register separately for both programs if you want to attend them both.

About the branch

The Independence Branch began as a collection operated out of City Hall. After outgrowing that space, the library moved into its own facility and since 1992 the branch has been a part of the city’s municipal complex that includes a recreational facility and senior center.
