Frightful Fun for Everyone - Western Reserve Storytellers

Large Meeting Room (90)Shiver to scary Halloween stories! Western Reserve Storytellers will share traditional, modern, and new translations of scary tales, songs, and jokes.
Prepare for an evening of tricksters, shapeshifters, caskets, ghostly visitations, the dead rising from the grave. Even scary stories can enlighten, inspire, and educate.
And they’ll answer questions and invite group discussion. It’s just for fun!
After a short break, the audience is invited to share a story. No experience necessary, just a willingness to try.
This program is part of “Third Tuesday of the Quarter Storytelling” at North Olmsted Library (January, April, July, and October). We’ll play with a different theme each quarter.
Stories must adhere to the Library Code of Conduct, specifically stories must not discriminate or in any way promote discrimination or mistreatment of any person due to race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, age or socioeconomic status.

North Olmsted Branch
In 1829, Charles Hyde Olmsted promised to donate 500 books from his father’s collection if the residents agreed to change the name of their town from Lenox to Olmsted. They did and the books traveled by oxcart and were housed in individual residents’ homes while being circulated. The “Oxcart Library” is thought to be the first circulating public library in the Western Reserve.
This branch is a Student Success Center and a Greater Cleveland Food Bank Kids Café location.
