In just a few square miles on Cleveland's west side, you'll find the oldest continuously operating public market in America, a stop on the Underground Railroad, Ohio's most haunted building, a boulevard of Victorian mansions that once rivaled anything in the city, and a brewing tradition stretching from 19th-century German lager empires to today's nationally celebrated craft breweries. Author Thomas Kaschalk brings rare historic photographs and stories that reveal just how much history — and how much heart — is packed into Cleveland's Ohio City.
Tom Kaschalk is the founder of My Cleveland History and a volunteer researcher at the Cuyahoga County Archives. Through his books, presentations, and research, he works to preserve and share the stories of Cleveland’s neighborhoods and the people who built them.

More than 120 years later, the Strongsville Branch of CCPL is home to the Kathleen Cochrane DePiero Recording Studio where visitors can make their own tracks, green screen videos, podcasts or audiobook recordings for free.
