A Picture Is Worth a Thousand Poems
Generative Poetry Workshop
Thursday, November 12
7:00pm - 8:30pm
Parma-Powers Branch
Meeting Room C (50)Write along with poets of all skill levels.
Hang out with fellow poets for a creative boost using ekphrastic poetry (writing about art) as fuel. We’ll analyze ekphrastic poems from contemporary authors, respond to different forms of art (in verse), and share works in progress (optional). You’ll come away with at least one draft to take to the East Side Poetry Workshop, West Side Poetry Workshop, another group, or simply something for your own collection.
Please bring a notebook or laptop in order to work on your poem(s). All poets and folks interested in learning how to write poetry are welcome!
