Join us when author Meredith Wise visits to discuss her latest middle-grade adventure novel, Wild Wonders: Yellowstone.

About the author:

Meredith Wise is an elementary teacher and author in Cleveland. She loves traveling, attending concerts, and exploring the natural world, always noticing the magic in life’s smallest moments.

Her love of nature and her own childhood family vacations to the national parks inspired Wild Wonders: Yellowstone, where Marie and Miles embark on a magical scavenger hunt through America’s first national park.

Marie and her brother Miles thought their family trip to Yellowstone would be all geysers, waterfalls, and wildlife. But when they discover their grandmother’s old National Park Passport—and a mysterious letter tucked inside—the trip turns into a real-life treasure hunt. As clues begin to appear in unexpected places, Marie and Miles follow a trail through Yellowstone’s breathtaking landscapes, uncovering long-forgotten secrets hidden in plain sight. Along the way, Marie finds a quiet strength—and a new way of seeing the world around her.

About the branch

Opened in 1924, the Berea Branch was the third branch to join the Cuyahoga County Public Library system. It was initially housed in City Hall from 1924-1939 and then a small storefront in 1957 before moving to a standalone building. The branch is located adjacent to beautiful Coe Lake Park.
