According to the AARP, the average cost of probate is between 5-10% of the total value of the
estate. The minimum time to administer a probate estate is 6 months, and the average time is 14
months. Through this workshop, we will discuss the complexities of the probate court system.
Moreover, attendees will learn various ways to avoid probate while also considering the basic
estate planning tools. Light refreshments provided.
Attorney Dan A. Baron focuses his practice in the areas of estate planning and elder law. Mr. Baron
is a member of the Ohio Bar Association, Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and Elder
Counsel.

The Gates Mills Branch became a part of the Cuyahoga County Public Library system in 1948. At the time, the branch operated out of the Southwick House, a former residence that was converted into a historic site. The branch’s current home is a 3,500-square-foot building that is the cornerstone of the Gates Mills downtown revitalization.
