For anyone interested in having their work read anonymously at the One Page Critique Panel at 2:15 PM: Drop off FOUR COPIES of the first page OR inciting event of your work-in-progress (fiction only) at check-in before noon. Your work should be double-spaced, in 12-point Times New Roman font, with Title, Genre, and "First Page" or "Inciting Event" written at the top of the page. Do NOT include your name anywhere on the page. We'll randomly select pages and read them aloud starting at 2:15 PM. PRESENTERS

Krista Hammonds (Iris Matthews) writes historical romance novels and contemporary romance short stories. She has an MFA in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University and a BA in history from the University of Mount Union. She serves as an accountability coordinator for the Great Lakes Fiction Writers to help other authors stick to their writing goals. In April 2025 she is scheduled to present at the Popular Culture Association National Conference in New Orleans. She lives in Ohio with her partner, two children and mini Aussie-doodle rescue puppy. When she isn't writing you can find her in the garden or traveling in a class-B motorhome.

Julie Hatcher is an award-winning and bestselling author of mystery and romantic suspense. She has published more than sixty novels under multiple pen names since her debut in 2013. Writing as Julie Anne Lindsey, Hatcher has earned many accolades for her work, including the 2020 National Readers’ Choice Award for Romance Adventure and the 2019 Daphne du Maurier Award for Mystery/Suspense, among others. When Julie's not creating new worlds or fostering the epic love of fictional characters, she can be found in Kent, Ohio, enjoying her blessed Midwestern life. And probably plotting murder with her shamelessly enabling friends. Today she hopes to make someone smile. One day she plans to change the world.

Joelle Reizes (J.D. Blackrose) is the author of the Summoner’s Mark series which includes Demon Kissed, Fae Crossed, Hell Bound, Samhain’s Bargain, Wish Magic, and Pinky Promise, through Bell Bridge Books. She’s published The Soul Wars, The Devil’s Been Busy, and the Zombie Cosmetologist novellas through Falstaff Books and is contracted for a new horror novel through Falstaff’s horror imprint, Falstaff Dread. About the branch

The South Euclid-Lyndhurst Branch is home to the William N. Skirball Writers' Center, a welcoming space for writers for all ages and levels of experience. The Writers' Center offers free access to private writing rooms, laptops, writing workshops and a special collection of materials on the art of writing.

This branch is a Student Success Center and a Greater Cleveland Food Bank Kids Cafe location.
