Long-time area resident Joe Reardon will give a presentation about the evening he spent with Lee Harvey Oswald during the summer of 1963 discussing Oswald's recent sojourn in the USSR, as well as his feelings about life, religion, and politics.
Four months later, Oswald would become known to the world as the accused assassin of President John F. Kennedy. Reardon will share insights on what may have motivated Oswald.
The Fairview Park Branch originally operated out of a small storefront on Lorain Road. Today, the building is large enough to support a book capacity of 147,000 volumes. The branch also features a beautiful travel-themed children’s area complete with a miniature Eiffel Tower and airplanes, and an Innovation Center maker space.
