Join us for a discussion on the film TRIUMPH: JESSE OWENS AND THE BERLIN OLYMPICS (2024). "A documentary about the 1936 Berlin Olympics, this film traces the journey of Black track-and-field icon Jesse Owens as he defiantly dismantles Adolf Hitler’s ideology of Aryan supremacy on the global stage. Narrated by award-winning actor Don Cheadle and directed by Andre Gaines, the production draws on archival Olympic footage, elegant animation, and firsthand interviews—including from Owens’s daughters Marlene and Beverly, legendary athlete Carl Lewis, journalist Jeremy Schaap, historians, and other prominent voices."
